Circle 1 has landed! Thanks everyone for making my very first bpalroundrobins swapping experience a success! Or half a success, at least, until the other circle comes in.

If you're curious, this is how the circle played outCollapse )

So, does anyone know how the second circle is doing? I haven't heard anything since hangar sent it out. tempestteapot should have recieved it and sent it on its merry way by now. Could whoever has it please let me know?

dangerpronered's LE Circle -- Final List!

Okay, we have a final roster! There were enough participants so that I could break it up into two smaller but still varied circles. I tried to break the people up so that the packages would move in a circle and not jump from NY to CA and back to NY.

Circle 1:

Circle 2:

Of course, I will be the last person on both lists. The address that I am putting is going to be different from where I am originally sending from, just so you know. The packages will have a clear list of where to send next, so don't worry. If you happen to lose it, let me know and I can send the info to you.

I hope to get these packages out within the next few days. I still need to decide which imps are going in and type up all of the info. I hope you guys are as excited about this as I am!

Dangerpronered's First LE Round Robin Circle!

Signups are closed!

Okay, to kick off this community, I am starting a LE imp round robin!

The rules, copied almost exactly from the inspiration behind this community, my co-mod zianuray, are:

Everyone gets 3 days with the package of imps, then they mail it to the next person with DC to keep tabs on the package. Sending early is fine, but please try to mail on or before the due date.

You get it Monday. You reply to the final memberlist post with "Yay! It's here!" or something similar. You have Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to test imps and select the one you want. Friday it goes in the post to the next person, with delivery confirmation, AND you EMAIL me when you send it on and, preferably, the DC# for tracking.

I'll start the package with three LE imps in good condition. Next person tests, chooses ONE, puts in ONE good-condition LE imp, and sends it to the next person.

Please do not include: Retail only imps, Salon imps, Carnival Diabolique imps, Neil Gaiman/Terry Pratchett imps, Tarot and Sephiroth imps, Chaos Theory blends or regular GC imps
Okay catagories to include: Lunacy imps, non-Tarot/Sephiroth discontinueds, unreleased imps, Anniversary Phoenix imps, imps of briefly resurrected but now no longer available scents, seasonals like Yules and Halloweenies and BPTP imps. Of course, these guidlines are just for the main three imps, to keep things mostly even.

Please email me when you send the package on so we can keep track of who has it. I will post the progression of imps when it's all done, if you're curious.

The question was raised in comments about "What if you don't want any of them? Can you add an imp anyhow?" I'm not going to tell anyone to NOT be generous if they wish!
If you wish to add a bit of candy, tea, pr whatever for the next person, that's fine -- but NOT required.

A list of names and addresses will be in the package -- cross off the next name as you send it on.

I'll list the three imps I started; if you'd list which one you take and which you replace it with, it'd be a cool way of tracking the metamorphosis of the package!

ALSO: Due to mailing times, this is a US-only swap. Feel free to make your own international round robin!

Welcome to BPAL Round Robins! This is a community designed especially for round robin-style swaps of BPAL products.

Swaps are member-run, so if you think you can handle organizing one, feel free! We ask that you make any specifications for your particular swap clear (ie. US only, GC imps only, etc) in your post to avoid any confusion.

As a member of this community, you are expected to be courteous to fellow swappers and follow a few simple rules:

1. No swaplifting. This should be a given by now, but it's always good to post it explicitly in the rules. Swaplifters will be banned.

2. Keep in touch. Good communication can mean a lot when somebody thinks they might've been swaplifted. We understand life gets hectic sometimes, but all it takes is a couple of minutes to shoot off an email to someone saying you'll can't make it to the post office until next week. This includes using Delivery Confirmation on all round-robin packages you send. We want to make sure packages get where they need to go.

3. Be nice :) Treat your fellow swappers the way you'd like to be treated. After all, nobody wants to hear that their imps suck.

And here are a few guidlines to make this community run smoothly:

4. Swap organizers should give their circles a name, and tag any entries about their circle with that name. Ideally, something concisely descriptive about the circle and the name of the organizer. For example, I might run a circle for imps from the Sin and Salvation catagory, so I would tag my entries "dangerpronered sin and salvation". It may seem long, but if someone can't remember what circle they're in, this should help them find it.

5. Organizers: stay organized! Have a list of the participant's names and addresses. Make sure the package you send out has clear instructions for how you want the circle to move (who should send to whom, documentation of imps, etc.) This community is not here to coddle you (though usually we are nice and will help in any way we can). All circles are ultimately the responsibility of the organizers and participants.

This community is still starting off, so if you have any comments, questions or suggestions, feel free to email them to DangerInRed [at] gmail [dot] com. Thanks, and happy swapping!
